Abstract Addressing the issues of under-diagnosis and undertreatment of hypertension and COPD is crucial within primary care, with a focus on disparities in physical health, including hypertension, depression, and COPD. These challenges significantly impact patients’ lives, but the effective treatment and cure for anxiety and hypertension can be achieved through Quality Initiatives (Qi) models, as illustrated in this scenario. A key solution involves improving patients’ access to mental health facilities, enabling the implementation of change management models like the Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycle and strategies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for mental health disorders. Hospitals should also employ educational strategies to train more nurses in remote and collaborative CBT, enhancing patients’ overall quality of life (Khan, 2019).

    Quality Improvement Methods

Applying principles of change management, Quality Improvement (QI) methods are employed to achieve desired outcomes within existing systems. A comprehensive understanding of previous processes and the management of anxiety, hypertension, and depression is necessary for successful Qi application (Kyrou & Karteris, 2020).

To enhance the treatment and outcomes of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), an action plan addresses not only medications and physical symptoms but also the prevention of underdiagnosed cases through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This approach proves effective in improving glucose metabolism and overall patient well-being.

After proposing the action plan, a concept map is created to foster inter-professional collaboration among healthcare professionals, patients, and families, ultimately increasing satisfaction (Khan, 2019).

Implementing judgment-based and non-discriminatory practices to improve quality outcomes positively impacts hypertension patients. This cycle repeats until desired care standards are achieved, incorporating pharmacological interventions and evidence-based practices (Sookoian & Pirola, 2019).

The Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) method facilitates change among nurses, breaking tasks into manageable steps and guiding the decision-making process (Donnelly, 2021).

    Evidence Supporting QI Methods

Scholars assert that the continuous, collaborative efforts of nurses, clients, and various stakeholders are central to overall patient care improvement within CBT therapy (Khan, 2019).

The cautious and successful use of Benzodiazepines can reduce headaches and tremors in hypertension patients (Kyrou, 2020).

Patient-focused strategies are more effective in meeting specific patient needs.

The success of proposed strategies relies on the collaboration, communication, and sharing capabilities of nurses and stakeholders.

    Overall Project Benefits

The change strategy emphasizes the need for nurses to collaborate to introduce and integrate both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions (Borsches, 2019).

Close collaboration among healthcare professionals, forming cohesive teams, allows for a unified focus on enhancing patient care quality and safety through consistent communication.

Inter-professional collaboration plays a vital role in identifying gaps in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.

According to Lim’s study (2014), effective communication can enhance the patient experience, reduce complaints, boost nurses’ confidence and self-knowledge, and elevate their professional standing.

Utilizing communication quality enhancement tools and strategies can lead to improved career prospects and job satisfaction for healthcare professionals through videoconferencing and remote collaboration.

Inter-professional Team Benefits Research and evidence support the importance of an inter-professional approach to address the needs of patients with PCOS and hypertension, encompassing both psychological and physiological aspects.

Professionals can leverage telehealth, automated tools, and pharmacological methods to benefit both their organizations and clients.

Training related to diabetes type 2 and hypertension is essential for nurses and professionals to assist patients in changing their behaviors and lifestyles.

These strategies facilitate patient improvement in exercise routines and help control PCOS re-admissions while providing systematic visualizations of psychological interventions to strengthen relationships with stakeholders.

The implementation of the overall project and the adoption of technology can reduce knowledge gaps and optimize financial resource utilization.

How Teamwork Will Improve the Efficiency of QI Teamwork allows team members to contribute their diverse thoughts, ideas, and opinions, facilitating exploration of different opportunities and possibilities.

Effective teamwork among stakeholders such as surgeons, nurses, patients, and pharmacists can enhance their understanding of change management, fostering cohesion within teams to achieve common goals.

Teamwork among stakeholders empowers everyone to take ownership of a portion of the healthcare product or service, contributing to the goals of patient safety and security.
